What is Junel Fe 1/20 Birth Control Pills?

How to Use Junel Fe 1/20

Simply take one pill every day, at the same time each day. Most women find that taking Junel Fe 1/20 before bedtime or with your largest meal of the day helps reduce nausea and other side effects. After taking 21 days of active pills, you’ll switch to seven inactive pills. These are inactive pills with no hormones that are there to get you in the habit of taking your pill every day. These seven tablets do have ferrous fumarate to prevent anemia from the blood loss with monthly bleeds.

Junel Fe 1/20 Dosage

Junel Fe 1/20 birth control pills have two main ingredients: 1mg of norethindrone and 20 mcgs of Ethinyl estradiol in each of the 21 first tablets, plus 7 tablets of 75 mg ferrous sulfate.

Benefits of Junel Fe 1/20

  • Periods get lighter. If you are usually a 7 day person, it goes down to like 5 days. If you use 5 pads/tampons a day, it goes down to 3.
  • You can use it to make #PeriodsOptional. Just skip the last week of pills and go straight into the next pack. See our CEO/Founder’s talk at the bottom of this page.
  • Improves acne.

Junel Fe 1/20 Side Effects

The risks are very low, but some women have experienced side effects when taking Junel Fe 1/20. Minor ones include breast tenderness, headaches, nausea, and slightly elevated blood pressure or blood sugar levels. Positive side effects: reduced acne, lighter bleeds, and fewer mood swings are fairly common.

The chances of serious side effects are extremely unlikely, but some cases have been documented, such as blood clots in the head (a severe new headache, causing double vision, or stroke), blood clots in the chest causing severe shortness of breath, blood clots in the abdomen (causing abdominal pain), blood clots in the leg causing leg swelling and pain.

These may sound scary, but remember — they’re very rare.
