How to use Estrace

Estrace tablets are typically taken orally, with or without food, as instructed by your doctor. It is important to maintain a consistent hormone level by taking it at the same time every day. To ensure the correct dosage and duration of treatment, it is crucial to closely follow the instructions given by your doctor or pharmacist. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. If it’s almost time for the next dose, only take that dose. Taking two doses at the same time is not recommended.

Please note that Estrace may increase the risk of developing a condition that can lead to uterine cancer. To mitigate this risk, your doctor may also prescribe a progestin. If you experience any unusual vaginal bleeding, it is important to report it to your healthcare provider immediately.
Your doctor will regularly monitor your progress, typically every 3 to 6 months, to assess the need for continued treatment.

Additionally, it is recommended to perform monthly self-examinations of your breasts for lumps and undergo a mammogram annually while using estradiol.
