Invest in your long-term health

1Stronger bones

mHT prevents rapid bone loss that typically follows menopause, as well as the deterioration of bone microarchitecture, which is vital to having strong bones. Women on mHT enjoy a 20-40% lower risk of bone fractures. When women take mHT for five to 10 years, they enjoy better bone health for years to come.

2Lower heart disease risk

Without estrogen, arteries become less flexible. A large study showed women who started mHT within 10 years of menopause and/or before age 60 saw a 32% lower risk of cardiovascular disease than those who didn’t take mHT.

3Better sleep

As estrogen levels start to fall, 75% of women experience hot flashes and night sweats, which disturb their sleep. Numerous studies show once women start mHT these vasomotor symptoms decline and their sleep quality improves.

4Less belly fat

While mHT isn’t a weight loss treatment, studies show it can support fat loss. Studies show women on hormonal therapy have less torso fat, plus a significant decrease in overall body fat, visceral fat between organs, and body mass index. It also improves blood sugar levels and insulin sensitivity, two markers for metabolic syndrome.

5Improved skin elasticity

Certain types of collagen, the main protein in healthy skin, can decline as much as 30% after menopause. Women on oral estrogen therapy for a year saw a 30% increase in skin thickness, while other mHT studies report better skin hydration and more elasticity which makes wrinkles less visible.

Fezolinetant (Veozah) is a hormone-free alternative for some menopausal women with symptom relief, which can help lessen hot flashes and night sweats, without the side effects associated with hormonal treatment.

A physician can offer hormone therapy, which may consist of prescribed hormones such as estrogen and progesterone. This treatment is used to help reduce the symptoms associated with menopause while managing any other related medical conditions.

The best treatment for menopause symptoms is Menopausal Hormone Therapy (MHT), also known as Hormone Replacement Treatment (HRT). Regarded as an estrogen therapy, it is a suitable option for alleviating menopausal symptoms like hot flashes and night sweats due to its beneficial effects outweighing potential risks. This type of treatment helps restore hormones that have dropped, which can provide relief from the uncomfortable signs associated with this stage of life.

Refill

At Pandia Health, refills are simple! If you’ve had an online consultation with our doctors and they’ve prescribed medication for you, we’ll send you a reminder when it’s time for your next refill. We’ll ask for your consent and check if you have any new symptoms or started any new medications.

Your next refill reminder will be dispatched to you seven days before your final pill, provided you are an insurance patient. You will receive a refill consent form and a survey to confirm your refill preference and note any health concerns or changes. If you are a cash-paying patient or uninsured, a refill survey will be sent ten days before your last pill. Should you require a refill before the designated time, kindly contact our Patient Care advisors. For insurance patients, securing an early refill may necessitate reaching out to your insurance company for an early refill waiver, typically permitted once annually by most insurance providers.

To get a prescription simply sign up for one of our services, fill out the health form and pay the consultation fee. One of our expert doctors will find the best medication that matches your health history and needs.
