How to Use Junel Fe 24

Simply take one pill every day, at the same time each day. Most women find that taking Junel Fe 24 before bedtime or with your largest meal of the day helps reduce nausea and other side effects. After taking 24 days of active pills, you’ll switch to four inactive pills. These are inactive pills with no hormones that are there to get you in the habit of taking your pill every day. These four tablets have ferrous fumarate to prevent anemia from blood loss with monthly bleeds.

Junel Fe 24 Dosage

Junel Fe 24 birth control pills have two main ingredients: 1mg of norethindrone and 20 mcgs of Ethinyl estradiol in each of the 24 first tablets, plus 4 tablets of 75 mg ferrous sulfate.

Benefits of Junel Fe 24

  • Periods get lighter. If you are usually a 7 day person, it goes down to like 5 days. If you use 5 pads/tampons a day, it goes down to 3.
  • You can use it to make #PeriodsOptional. Just skip the last week of pills and go straight into the next pack. See our CEO/Founder’s talk at the bottom of this page.
  • Improves acne.

Junel Fe 24 Side Effects

The risks are very low, but some women have experienced side effects when taking Junel Fe 24. Minor ones include breast tenderness, headaches, nausea, and slightly elevated blood pressure or blood sugar levels. Positive side effects: reduced acne, lighter bleeds, and fewer mood swings are fairly common.

The chances of serious side effects are extremely unlikely, but some cases have been documented, such as blood clots in the head (a severe new headache, causing double vision, or stroke), blood clots in the chest causing severe shortness of breath, blood clots in the abdomen (causing abdominal pain), blood clots in the leg causing leg swelling and pain.

These may sound scary, but remember — they’re very rare.
